Welcome Exhibitors!
Pump Symposium : EXH Kit : Exhibit Staff Welcome

The Turbomachinery Laboratory of the Texas A&M University System appreciates your participation in the 24th International Pump Users Symposium to be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas.

We will continue to offer the Turbo Stage to promote your company’s services and products on Tuesday and Wednesday. You will be notified by email at a later date to reserve a time slot.

The exhibit hours will remain as last year. On Tuesday the exhibit hall opens at 12 noon for attendees, closes at 2:00, then reopens 3:30 to 7:00 for the public. Wednesday the hall will open to the public at 12 noon and remain open until 7 p.m. Thursday the hall is open from 9:30 a.m. until noon.

Please note that the rules and hours concerning serving alcoholic beverages remain in effect, with a 3:30 p.m. start time.

Our rules for the exhibits are similar to those of prior years. They follow customary practice in ensuring that exhibitors do not impact the line of sight and usage of their neighbors. We are particularly concerned with maintaining high standards and quality for all our guests. Please pay particular attention to the following requirements when planning your exhibits:

The Advisory Committee requires unpretentious, tasteful exhibits and professional and business-like dress and demeanor by exhibitors. The Texas A&M University System has a long-standing policy against discrimination towards minorities, women, and the handicapped. Exhibitors whose products require the presence of scantily-clad females or pictures of scantily-clad females are not welcome.

After many years of generally good compliance with this requirement, we had some unwelcome ”slippage” in adherence to this rule in recent years. Texas A&M and the Pump Advisory committee do not consider this rule to be optional, and it will be firmly enforced. We appreciate your continued cooperation and encourage you to always “be a good neighbor.”

We hope you find this online Exhibitor Service Kit helpful and easy to use. If you require further assistance, please contact our Exhibitor Services staff. We look forward to your participation in another great Pump Symposium in Houston. Thanks for your continued support.

Yours very truly,
Dara W. Childs, Ph.D., P.E.
Chairman, Pump Advisory Committee
