Launched in 2025, the Turbomachinery Laboratory Industry Certification Program (IPC) fills a market gap in turbomachinery & rotating machinery certifications. designed for working engineers, the ICP helps practitioners build and demonstrate practical knowledge to employers in their fields.

Leadership and accreditation

The program is overseen by the TEES Turbomachinery Laboratory, while an executive board of industry experts develops the requirements and curriculum. this board is represented by end-user companies and Engineering Procurement, Construction (EPC) companies. The program operates under accreditation from the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES).

A team of subject matter experts – including end-users, OEMs, and consultants – creates coursed and test and, in many cases, serve as instructors. these materials undergo peer review by a technical committee, following a process similar to that of the Turbomachinery & Pump Symposia Advisory Committee.
