Dr. Eric Petersen is the Director of the Turbomachinery Laboratory at Texas A&M. Petersen has been with the Turbo Lab since 2007 and is the holder of the Nelson-Jackson Chair in the J. Mike Walker ’66 Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Turbo Lab Staff
- Director of Operations
Ashton leads the Workforce Development and Business Operations offices at the Turbo Lab. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the staff offices, the overall organization of the Turbo Lab symposia including management of advisory committees, and oversight of short course programs and the TRC.
- Exhibitor Services Director
Martha works in the Workforce Development office and is primarily responsible for organization of exhibits at the Turbo Lab symposia. She also handles agreements for symposia facilities and contractors.
- Communications Specialist
Kristen works in the Workforce Development office and assists with the communications and marketing for Turbo Lab. She is also responsible for the social media of the office and symposia.
- Director of Global and Corporate Partnerships
Greg leads Business Development and Strategic Initiatives at the Turbo Lab. His primary responsibility is developing and maintaining corporate, government, and institutional relationships for both research and workforce development activities including major sponsorships, gifts, and program expansion.
- Exhibitor Services Assistant
Maggie works in the Workforce Development office and primarily assists with exhibit organization for symposia. Maggie also provides assistance with other program activities at Turbo Lab.
- Digital Media Coordinator
Carleigh works in the Workforce Development office and is responsible for website maintenance across the three Turbo Lab sites. She also assists with event coordination, registration, and mobile apps.
- Facilities Manager
Carl is responsible for the operations and maintenance activities for the Research Lab. Carl also is a machinist overseeing the lab machine shop working with research faculty and students to build custom test rigs and oversee safety protocols.
- Program Specialist
Debbie works in the Workforce Development office and is responsible for the extended short course programs for Turbo Lab. She is also responsible for the organization and management of the Turbomachinery Research Consortium.
- Marketing Director
Megan works in the Workforce Development office and is responsible for the communications and marketing for Turbo Lab. She is also responsible for the branding for the office and symposia.
